Purpose:

The Industry Solutions Architect will act as the market facing, thought leader for their Industry as well as leading the market approach for their assigned vertical within AT&T.

This position requires up to 35% domestic travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Expected to have deep industry knowledge and interact with keycustomers through strategic meetings, advisory board sponsorship, the hostingof targeted webinars, and the participation and sponsorship of key industryevents.

  • Articulates industry trends and positions AT&T capabilitiesthat fill industry needs.

  • Interfaces and drives direction for a matrixed offer creation andAT&T’s delivery organization.

  • Shapes the clients’ vision and strategy, anddevelops highly advanced/leading edge technology solutions and concepts thatsolve problems specific to their industry.

Qualifications:

  • 10+years working in the retail industry. Candidate will have worked FOR companieswithin the targeted verticals, not sold to them, for a minimum of 10years. Relevant employers are brick andmortar or online retailers, multi-location restaurant companies ormulti-location hospitality companies.

  • 10+years in IT and/or Operational technology, either implementing and managing foran industry company, or architecting and implementing for a technologyprovider.

  • Asolid knowledge of networking technology, cloud architecture, cyber securitysolutions, unified communications solutions, and mobility offerings andtechnology.

  • Abilityto translate industry trends and challenges into solutions’ strategies from anetworking and technology standpoint.

  • Experienceand expertise communicating to C-levels for targeted customers. This can takethe form of customer meetings, executive briefings and speaking engagements,and panel participation at targeted industry events.

  • Experiencedriving overall vertical strategy for technology and application adoptionwithin a company in the target industry, or creating overall solutions approachfor a technology or solutions provider.

  • Akeen understanding and experience working within the retail industry andnavigating retail regulations and compliance challenges.
